Projection: Round 4, No. 131 overall

The Miami Dolphins parted ways with Ndamukong Suh after signing him to a six year $114 million deal in 2015. He only logged 15.5 sacks on really porous Miami Dolphins defenses. With Suh off the roster, Miami will have to replace him with another nose tackle that can play the 1-technique and has the size to demand a double team. Kendrick Norton might be a local guy that the Dolphins could put in and get the same mid-level production that Suh offered.

Norton put together three seasons in orange and green and measured in at 6-foot-3 and 312 pounds. His 40-yard dash clocked in at 5.25, which is solid for a man of his size. While his numbers at Miami weren’t eye popping, he did record 18 tackles for loss and five sacks on a really good defensive line that had to split stats with each other.

The Miami Dolphins depth chart at defensive tackle is so dire that Norton could start in Miami right away at the nose tackle position.

Side note: he is not related to Ken Norton Jr. the former 49ers and Cowboy inside linebacker or the grand son of the former Heavyweight Champion — that’s Kenny Norton III.
