Spring has all but wrapped up as the college football world moves their focus onto the 2018 NFL Draft. Here are the winners and losers from 2018 spring ball.

Spring football is often brushed aside by the media as a practice in futility. However, spring football is our only taste of the game we love from National Signing Day, which has lost its luster with the new early signing period, and fall camp in August.

Spring ball is useful for coaches who need to set their depth charts and find playmakers, players who need valuable experience working together after departures of transfers and graduates move on, and the fans who need their taste of college football.

This was a strange spring season as the usual tropes were still there, however, some programs struck gold using their spring football experiences to showcase new coaches or players and get their fanbase talking heading into the 2018 season.

While other programs struck out; they failed to gain momentum or hype in an era where fans need to be constantly stimulated to stay interested and spend money.

Here are your two losers and three winners from spring football, 2018 edition.
