With such a heavy emphasis being placed on the passing game, every NFL team is looking to find the next Julio Jones, Antonio Brown or Mike Evans. The 2018 draft class offers up some possible candidates.
The 2018 NFL Draft, which starts this Thursday, might be lacking a bit in terms of top-tier talent available for selection, but that doesn’t mean there are not standout-worthy players available in the second, third and later rounds.
In fact, with so many quarterbacks, running backs and defensive players likely to go off the board early, teams are sure to be able to gobble up a starter for their wide receiver group in the later rounds of the draft.
Over 100 wide receivers have made themselves available from Western Illinois’ Jaelon Acklin to Central Missouri State’s Jaylen Zachery. While those are two of the unknowns, the class includes Alabama’s Calvin Ridley, Oklahoma State’s James Washington and Courtland Sutton from SMU.
