Where Washington’s Dante Pettis has the chance to shine – at least early on – will be in the special teams area. Pettis, who stands 6-0 and weighs under 190 pounds, isn’t a big-body receiver like some of the others. He also isn’t the fastest player in the group, but Pettis plays quick.

He surpassed DeSean Jackson’s Pac-12 record for punt return touchdowns with nine during his career in Washington, averaging over 14 yards per return. That included four returns to the end zone this past year and a 20-yard average on 21 returns.

Of course, Pettis will need to prove himself as a receiver to make a complete impact. Over four years with the Huskies, the first team All-American caught 163 passes for over 2,220 yards with 24 touchdowns. He had his best season as a junior, hauling in 53 balls for 822 yards and 15 scores.
