2018 NFL Draft: Ranking the Top-10 wide receivers
By Dana Becker
Like his former quarterback Mason Rudolph, the biggest question concerning James Washington involves his true football abilities. At 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds, Washington comes in on the shorter size. He also clocked a 4.54 40-yard dash, keeping him from elite-level speed.
But at Oklahoma State, he was dominant, catching 226 passes, including 145 his last two seasons. As a senior, Washington had 74 receptions for 1,549 yards with 13 touchdowns – all career-bests.
However, was he just a produce of the system like some previous Cowboy wide receivers such as Justin Blackmon? Or is he a future NFL standout like Dez Bryant? For Washington, landing with the right team and in the right system will be critical for his NFL future.
