1. How does Ole Miss follow up a 6-6 season?

Most fans around the college football world would say that Ole Miss winning six games in 2017 was a resounding accomplishment that far surpassed expectations. They had an interim head coach in Luke fighting to become tenured, and a roster with a ton of question marks entering the regular season.

Now, Ole Miss has some more stability entering the 2018 campaign, and some very solid pieces returning to campus for the fall. The problem for the Rebels will seemingly always be competing in the ever tough SEC West. Once again, the division could be the best in the nation, with two or three teams ranked in the preseason top 10.

The Rebel do have the look of a team that could finish with a respectable winning record, or better. It’ll be a telling start to the season if they can knock off a fellow Power Five program in the head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the Texas Tech Red Raiders, out of the Big 12.

Other winnable games for the Rebels come against the Southern Illinois Salukis (FCS), Kent State Golden Flashes, ULM Warhawks, Arkansas Razorbacks, South Carolina Gamecocks, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Mississippi State to cap things off. Given everything falls into place for Ole Miss in the early portion of the regular season slate, they could have an eight win season on their hands.
