36.
Round 6, No. 168 overall
. Tight End. Stanford Cardinal. Dalton Schultz. 6. player

Death. Taxes. Stanford tight ends. The efficiency and regularity with which Stanford is able to produce NFL-caliber tight ends is nothing short of stunning. A cursory examination of current NFL rosters reveals Austin Hooper, Zach Ertz, Levin Toilolo and Coby Fleener. All but one of those four was a top 100 selection (Toilolo was No. 133 overall) and a clear indication that Stanford has figured out how to build tight ends.

That pedigree alone might be enough to get Dalton Schultz drafted, but he also backed up his lineage with 555 career receiving yards at a rate of 10.1 yard per reception with five total touchdowns. A chain mover, Schultz is going to get a look at the next level and that look will come from the Seattle Seahawks who have an opening at the position.

Jimmy Graham has moved on to the Packers creating an opening on the depth chart in Seattle. Schultz will have his fair shot against the likes of Nick Vannett and Ed Dickson. In other words, the path to a roster spot is wide open and the Seahawks will be looking to add as much depth as they can.
