Stanford Football 2018 Mock Draft: Which Cardinal will be drafted?

For whatever the reason Peter Kalambayi was one of those guys that never seemed to live up to expectations at Stanford. The quick edge rusher posted the fourth fastest 40-yard dash at his position (4.57) at the NFL Combine but wasn’t ever able to translate that quickness into consistent production on the field.

In a vacuum there isn’t much about Kalambayi that isn’t to like. He’s quick, has great pursuit and tackling ability and stands 6-foot-3 and a respectable 252 pounds. He looks like a football player, and those traits are going to give him a shot at the next level.

The Dallas Cowboys need help on the outside. Demarcus Lawrence was a one man wrecking crew for them a season ago, but last year’s first round pick Taco Charlton was a non-factor. Kalambayi could find a role on special teams or a scout team as he works to become a more well-rounded player.
