player. 123.
Round 6, No. 193 overall
. Cornerback. Stanford Cardinal. Quenton Meeks. 6

The big-bodied corner seems like a dying breed. The top corner prospects in the 2018 class are guys like Denzel Ward from Ohio State and Jaire Alexander from Louisville. Stanford corner Quenton Meeks, on the other hand, is built more along the lines a guy like Joshua Jackson. As NFL receivers continue to get bigger and stronger the need for players like Meeks will only continue to grow.

Growing up the son of a coach, Meeks technical skills are off the charts. He moves well on the field and always seems to be aware of his positioning to his man and the ball. He did not draw a single pass interference flag in 2017, something not terrible common for a player that plays with as much physicality as he does.

In addition to their pass rush issues, the Cowboys’ secondary was leaky in 2017. The position is wide open entering the 2018 NFL Draft, and even if they do decide to commit an earlier pick to the position it’s safe to assume they’d be willing to double dip if Meeks was still available midway through Day 3.
