Clemson Football NFL Mock Draft 2018: Where will Tigers land?
Deon Cain could be an intriguing pick for the right team. In this case, Baltimore. The receiver class this year doesn’t have bullet-train playmakers like it has in previous years, but Cain has speed and he is reliable. He’s a smooth operator when he runs routes.
Last year, Cain had 58 receptions for 734 yards and had six touchdowns. In 2016, his best season, he posted a whopping 38 receptions for 724 yards and had nine scores. He averages almost 20 yards per reception.
Throughout his college career, Cain earned 130 receptions for 2,040 yards and 20 touchdowns, which is fourth in school history. He was a consistent red-zone player for the Tigers.
In the combine, he hit the top five in the three-cone drill, and he ran a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. The Ravens have a desperate need for speedy, athletic receivers as their passing offense is shoddy at best. Cain should help round out the Ravens’ offense nicely.
