UCLA football loses a lot on the offensive side of the ball after the 2017 campaign, including wide receivers like Jordan Lasley and Darren Andrews. More importantly, the quarterback that kept the Bruins in tact through a roller coaster regular season in 2017, Josh Rosen, went to the Arizona Cardinals in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, 10th overall.
After Rosen, wide receiver Jordan Lasley might have the next highest ceiling of all the Bruins’ draft picks this year. Lasley had a true breakout season in 2017 that really put him on the map for the 2018 NFL Draft. With injury concerns hampering other weapons in UCLA’s passing game like Andrews and tight end Caleb Wilson, Lasley stepped up in a big way. He finished the season with more than 1,200 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
That type of clutch play should draw attention to the type ofupside that Lasley brings to the table. It was enough, in combination with his junior year performance and physical tools, for him to come off the board relatively early on day three. He might have gone even higher had some off the field concerns bumped him down some teams’ draft boards.

With their 25th pick in the fourth round, the Baltimore Ravens were able to snag Lasley to add depth to their receiving corps. Baltimore also gets a real deep threat with their passing game now with the presence of Lasley. This has been a huge offensive draft for the Ravens including standouts like Hayden Hurst and Lamar Jackson along with Lasley.
