The end of one draft cycle is the beginning of another. Teams won’t wait too long before diving into the 2019 class and beginning their evaluations. Every class is different, and the top of the 2019 board is going to look much different from the top picks this year.

Quarterbacks were the hot commodity in the 2018 NFL Draft. Five passers came off the board in the first 32 picks, the first time since 1999 that many quarterbacks were first round picks. All five passers have a chance to be starters down the road, but there will be more teams looking to find their future gunslinger in 2019.

Next year’s quarterback class doesn’t look as robust as this year’s class was, but there are a few names that will be in the mix to be first round picks. Will any of them crack the top five? It’s going to be hard given the strength of the defensive prospects that could be available.
