Large expectations were sure to follow Jimbo Fisher on his way to coaching Texas A&M football in a key 2018 campaign in the SEC.

Texas A&M football has a few reasons to believe it can contend in the SEC West in 2018. A new head football coach in Jimbo Fisher is a great reason why the Aggies should believe an appearance in the SEC Championship Game soon is very possible.

Moreover, few programs have a tougher first four weeks of the regular season than the Aggies do, with facing two top tier programs in the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers. Anytime a 2-2 start would be considered a decent start to a coaching era in a place like College Station, TX, signals a difficult road ahead for Texas A&M.

Coming off a seven-win campaign in 2017, Texas A&M could easily improve its record in an SEC West that is hard to figure out past Alabama and the Auburn Tigers. Texas A&M does have the potential to claw its way into the top three teams in the division if Jimbo helps the entire program take a good leap forward.

The stock for this program is high following a good show out in the Spring Football Game and no major injuries holding them back. Two young quarterbacks in Nick Starkel and Kellen Mond are also battling it out to see who can get the nod under center, but both are very talented.

The main thing for the Aggies this season is following through a complete effort from beginning to end. That’s something this program rarely got under Kevin Sumlin, and the fans want that to change immediately.

Here are the three must-win games for Jimbo Fisher with the Texas A&M Aggies in 2018.
