Texas A&M lands themselves a pretty favorable cross-conference slate this year. Avoiding any trace of the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators is a nice pull. Yet, the South Carolina Gamecocks might end up as the second place team in the SEC East this year.

Given how Texas A&M fared against the Gamecocks last year, this one should be within reach for Fisher this time around. South Carolina does bring back a talented offense highlighted by quarterback Jake Bentley, running back Rico Dowdle, and a dynamic duo at wide receiver between Deebo Samuel and Bryan Edwards.

Something that South Carolina should have back for this contest that was not there last season is the presence of Samuel. He’s a possible first round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and a very versatile weapon that Texas A&M has to make sure extra time is taken to prepare for.

This is also a key time in conference play for the Aggies. A huge bye week comes around after this matchup with South Carolina, and the final stretch run of the SEC slate then lies ahead. Get past South Carolina with a win, and the Aggies are in great position to make a solid run in the final weeks of the regular season.
