It might be a weird to also have the Mississippi State Bulldogs listed here, but this is one that got away from the Aggies last year. This is not so much for Jimbo Fisher to get for his own peace of mind, as it is for the Aggies to jump up in the SEC West standings in 2018.

Mississippi State has a new head football coach of their own making his way to Starkville in former Penn State Nittany Lions offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead. As the coordinator that helped put together a top Big 10 offense last year, and jolted the career of Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley, this will be an interesting coaching matchup come Oct. 27.

With the quarterback matchup this year set to likely be Nick Starkel and Nick Fitzgerald, there could be a lot of points put up. The new Texas A&M offense run under Fisher should encourage a more efficient style than it did under Sumlin. And, more points are guaranteed out of a Moorhead coached squad than under Dan Mullen.

Take down Mississippi State, and the path to a top three finish in the SEC West opens right up. A few SEC fans think that the Bulldogs are on the way down following the departure of Mullen, but the return of both Fitzgerald and underrated running back Aeris Williams would say otherwise.
