1. Jawon Pass has serious potential to replace Lamar Jackson

Goodbye, Lamar Jackson. Hello, Jawon Pass. With the last name Pass, you’d have to assume the junior quarterback knows his way around the position. He has a strong arm, but even Dez Fitzpatrick admitted he knows when to dial it back a bit and not fire the ball to his receivers when it’s not necessary.

Pass has waited two years for this opportunity behind Jackson, but the Cardinals’ offense is in good hands with the first-year starter from Columbus, Ga. He has learned enough from Lamar to make a name for himself and surpass expectations.

Filling the shoes of a Heisman-winning quarterback isn’t easy, but Pass seems to be up to the task, passing for 342 yards and three touchdowns in the spring game.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound quarterback has impressive size, a strong, accurate arm and the ability to scramble when under pressure.

Louisville has to feel good about this passing of the torch from Jackson to Pass. Not many teams can go from a Heisman-winning quarterback to a dark-horse contender.
