Navy Offense

1. Malcolm Perry

Malcolm Perry, a junior, tops the depth chart at quarterback. In only three starts, Perry has proven he is the way of the future for Navy. In his second career start against rival, Army, Perry showed great poise and command of the offense. Perry accounted for 250 of Navy’s 294 yards and one touchdown. In the Military Bowl against Virgina, Perry had 114 rushing yards and two touchdowns in only one half before getting hurt early in the second half. Perry will be on the Heisman Watch at some point this season.

2. Anthony Gargiulo

Anthony Gargiulo will be Navy’s workhorse at fullback this year. Gargiulo, a rising senior, has been selected by his peers as Offensive Team Captain for the 2018 season. Gargiulo had his breakout performance late in the season last year against SMU where he rushed for 145 yards on 15 carries with one touchdown.

Furthermore, in the following game against Notre Dame, Gargiulo was responsible for 80 of Navy’s 163 rushing yards. At 240 pounds, Gargiulo brings great size and strength to the backfield. Therefore, look for Gargiulo to be Navy’s go-to in short yardage situations this season.
