5. Bulk of carries

Taylor was steadily one of the most called upon backs in the nation in 2017. Last season, he quite literally carried the Badgers through the season by appearing in all of the 14 games Wisconsin played last year.

In those games, Taylor emerged as the rushing attempts leader in the Big Ten and the No. 4 ranked tailback in that category in the country after amassing a whopping 299 rushing attempts.

Taylor was within striking distance of the NCAA-lead in rushing attempts. He was three attempts behind last year’s leader, Colorado’s Phillip Lindsay.

If his rushing attempts metric could be replicated and even expanded, Taylor will be in an opportunistic spot to put a mark on the 2018 season and be a first-rate Heisman candidate.
