Miami football stumbled through the finish line last season, but the infusion of talent from the incoming recruiting class should bolster an already impressive roster.

Head coach Mark Richt hauled in quite the recruiting class in his second full offseason at Miami. The Hurricanes’ class, ranked eighth nationally by 247Sports, is littered with top-200 talent, highlighted by running back Lorenzo Lingard, tight end Brevin Jordan and defensive lineman Nesta Silvera — all three players are considered to be top-two recruits at their respective positions.

At a school like Miami, there’s plenty of competition at nearly every position across the board. Last year’s recruiting class was ranked No. 12 nationally, according to 247Sports. Combine that with this year’s, and Miami is a very young but also very talented bunch.

Some positions suffered bigger hits than others, though. The offense lost leading wide receiver Braxton Berrios and tight end Chris Herndon along with running back Mark Walton. The defense took a hit losing Chad Thomas and RJ McIntosh. What freshmen will step up and make a difference, even possibly breakout and be a star, for the 2018 Miami Hurricanes?
