Perhaps the one team that challenges and arguably outclasses Alabama for the best crimson-colored uniforms is Oklahoma.

While the Sooners have their primary color officially listed as crimson, its version of crimson is a darker tint than Alabama’s. The Sooners are one team that can sport a traditional football look, while also catching the eye.

A Sooner is an odd team nickname to have in the first place and is synonymous with the Oklahoma football team. The football uniforms aren’t shy to announce their pride in the team’s name as “Sooners” can be seen in a large font centered across the top of the jersey.

Another noticeable detail of Oklahoma’s more classic uniform set is the simplistic all-crimson helmet with the interlocking “OU” logo that is really the only emblem that the team uses.

Maybe it was the swagger that Baker Mayfield possessed during his time in Norman, but Oklahoma is a strong football program that takes the field with a more modern-looking traditional uniform.
