The Falcons have a tough schedule to play as part of the Mountain West Conference. They lead off with what should be a win against Stony Brook before traveling to face Lane Kiffin’s FAU Owls in Boca Raton, FL. After a bye week, Air Force face Utah State, Nevada, Navy and San Diego State where they will likely emerge 2-6 from the first portion of their schedule.
The Falcons will need to win on the road against a beatable UNLV before facing Boise State and Army in back to back weeks. The Falcons close out their 2018 slate with games against a beatable New Mexico before flying north to face an ever improving Wyoming Cowboys squad and then returning home against rival Colorado State.

Coach Calhoun could be wrapping up his final season in Colorado Springs if the Falcons can’t dig deep and find an upset in what could be a 4-8 or even a 2-10 season. If the Falcons do slip down to post consecutive losing seasons Calhoun will at least be on the hot seat if not looking for a new role in 2019.
