Current conference: American
Possible destination: ACC

USF would be another quality team to accompany UCF with a move to the ACC. The Bulls have a Power Five-caliber coach in Charlie Strong, who once had a three-year stint as the head coach of Texas.

USF is one of the few remaining teams in the American Conference that was a member of the Big East before it dissolved and became a basketball only conference.

The Bulls are moving along nicely and building off a string of successful seasons over the past three years. USF was neck and neck with UCF for a majority of last year until the thrilling loss in the final regular season game to the Knights last season.

The Bulls provided just another example of how a Group of Five team can handle itself against a Power Five conference team. In their bowl game last year, the Bulls won the Birmingham Bowl against Texas Tech, a Big 12 team.

Much like UCF, the Bulls are located in Florida and that fits the general area where other teams in the ACC are. South Florida is also a large, state school, like most of the other ACC schools.

USF will have a chance to prove its worth against an ACC school when the Bulls square off with Georgia Tech in the second week of the 2018 season.
