Michigan State football camp gives 2020 cornerback Miquan Grace chance to show coaches what he’s got. Could he eventually be a key piece for the Spartans?

Michigan State football coaches are in the midst of a busy week, with various camps, and a lot of top recruits visiting. The Michigan State coaches take the camps very seriously and go a long way in getting an offer for many prospects.

Enter 2020 cornerback Miquan Grace from Winton Woods High School in Ohio. He is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound corner who plans to camp at Michigan State for their one day camp on June 20. He has been on campus a couple other times, but this will be his first chance to show the coaches what he’s got in person.

Grace describes himself as a “good cover corner, who loves contact, and is a competitor.”

Former defensive backs coach Harlon Barnett was the first coach to contact him when he was still at MSU, but that role has been taken over by first year defensive backs coach Paul Haynes. Grace told me that he talks to coach Haynes often and loves to pick his brain, to become an even better player.

Winton Woods is one of the better programs in Ohio, a state known for having some of the best high school football in the country. The coaching and recognition their program brings has helped Grace get recognized by college coaches early. He currently has five offers, Kentucky and Cincinnati being two of them.

Grace hopes that with a strong camp performance in front of the Michigan State coaches he will receive an offer, or at least help cement his name in the coaches mind moving forward with his recruitment. Keep an eye out for this rising junior, as he has the skills and ability to become another great player for Winton Woods High School.
