Michigan State football recruiting is heating up in the month of June as prospects come for visits and camps. Here’s what happened in the week of June 11.

Michigan State football recruiting has had a ton of visitors already, as well as many more expected to come before the end of the month. I’m going to cover a lot of different things, to update where the staff is with some of their top targets and commits.

Damon Kaylor: Michigan State received a commitment from the 6-foot-6, 315-pound Indiana offensive lineman on June 6, a day after he and his family took an unofficial visit to East Lansing. Kaylor was back on campus participating in the big man camp on June 14, getting a chance to work with his future coaching staff.

Nick Samac: The offensive lineman from Ohio who committed to MSU in May was back on campus with his family to visit coaches and check out his future campus more. They came up on June 10 and stayed the night. On the 11th they met up with coaches early in the morning and spent the day hanging out with the staff. They were able to get a great feel for the coaches and how they handle their business.

JD Duplain: Duplain is one of the two remaining offensive line targets for Michigan State, joining Devontae Dobbs. He and his dad came up to East Lansing on Wednesday afternoon to get a chance to visit coaches, then he camped on Thursday. He played very well from reports that came out of the camp, he even showed his talents off on the defensive side of the ball at camp. Duplain is taking an official visit to Boston College on the 15th and should decide shortly after. Michigan State is his leader going in to the home stretch of his recruitment.

Darius Robinson: Robinson camped on June 14, and after having a strong showing, the 6-foot-6, 255-pound defensive end from Canton, Mich., received a scholarship offer from Michigan State. He’s a guy that has been on the coaches radar for a while. He has added a ton of good weight this offseason and has exploded on the camp circuit this summer. He is an explosive athlete coming off the edge and was unlockable at camp. The staff would love to add him to a defensive end class of current commit Adam Berghorst, and major target Michael Fletcher.

Michael Fletcher: Fletcher is one of the ‘Plan A’ recruits for the Michigan State coaches. He just finished up what may be his last official visit before he makes his decision on June 29. Fletcher went down to Kentucky to check out the Wildcats on June 12 and wrapped up his visit on the 14th. There’s a chance Fletcher could make it to East Lansing again before he commits. The Spartans are in a great spot to land Fletcher, a 6-6, 245-pound defensive end from Flint, Mich.

Erick All Jr: All is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end from Ohio. The Spartans offered the very athletic tight end on June 9. All plays at Fairfield High School, the same place that produced current sophomore cornerback Josiah Scott. He can’t wait to check out Michigan State again, now with an offer in hand. He’s working on figuring out when he can make it back up, but a date hasn’t been set yet. Michigan State should be a major player in his recruitment.

Jack Miller: Miller is an elite quarterback in the 2020 class, from Scottsdale, Ariz. He plans to visit East Lansing on June 21. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound signal-caller is considered one of the top pro-style quarterbacks in his class. Getting him on campus this early is huge for Michigan State, and lets Miller develop a bond with the staff. Michigan State develops the quarterback position as well or better than anyone in the country and it has caught the attention of Miller.

Brandon Shivers: Shivers, a 6-1, 185-pound cornerback from Scottsdale, Ariz., is a 2019 prospect. He took an official visit to Michigan State on June 7 with his family. He loved everything about Michigan State. He loved the facilities, the campus, but most of all he loved the coaches. He also recently wrapped up an official visit with San Diego State. The Spartans will be a major player in his recruitment — Shivers currently doesn’t have a timeframe for his decision, but it could come this summer before his season.

Aaron Young: Young is a 5-9, 190-pound running back from Coatesville, Penn. Young, a very speedy running back, took an official visit to Michigan State on the weekend of June 8. He is a really shifty player and has the ability to take it the house whenever he touches the ball. Young loved being able to see campus and the facilities. He really loved being able to be around the coaches and the players on his visit. He is definitely a guy to keep an eye on, as Michigan State made a big impression on him.
