Tulsa is a tricky one to rank. The uniforms pictured above – all-royal blue with red and gold accents and a chrome gold helmet – are near-flawless. Everything from the script “Tulsa” on the helmets to the shoes is wonderful. You can even change it up a little bit and throw in some gold pants, and it still looks great.

Then why, pray tell, has Tulsa been switching up their home look so much in recent seasons? They’ve developed a strange fascination with black uniforms, which, as we’ve established with Memphis, don’t look that great when your primary color is blue. The Golden Hurricane might be higher on this list if they stuck to their classic look.

Tulsa’s currently at a bit of a crossroads entering year four under Phillip Montgomery, having gone 10-3 and 2-10 in consecutive seasons? If the Golden Hurricane really want to get back to their winning ways, they need to bring back the royal blue and gold. It’s science.
