Michigan State football stays hot on the recruiting trail landing three-star wide receiver Tre Mosley from West Bloomfield, Mich.

Michigan State football coaches landed another ‘Plan A’ target for their 2019 recruiting class. Wide receiver Tre Mosley announced his commitment to the Spartans on Twitter.

Mosley is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound wide receiver from West Bloomfield High School in Michigan. Michigan State coaches offered him a scholarship on March 13, and made him one of the top targets on their board, staying in contact regularly.

The three-star had over twenty offers and chose Michigan State over programs like Michigan, Oregon, Missouri, Minnesota and Cincinnati. He was able to visit all his top schools, but none of them could measure up to Michigan State.

Mosley chose the Spartans due to his great relationship with head coach Mark Dantonio and wide receivers coach Terrence Samuel. He knew he could trust them to guide him as a person as well as a player. Their winning tradition and ability to develop wide receivers also were key factors.

Michigan State football runs a pro style offense, and having complete receivers like Mosley are key. The 6-foot-2 wide out has a very high football IQ, and understands how to read the defense pre snap, and how to attack it. He has the speed to take the top off a defense as well as come across the middle and hold on to the ball while taking a hit. His route running and hands are probably his best attributes, he gets in and out of his breaks well, and catches everything that hits his hands. Mosley also excels as a blocker.

West Bloomfield is one of the top high school programs in Michigan, and produces a lot of top-end talent. The addition of Mosley should help impact the recruitment of future players from there, when they hear how he likes it, and see the success he is having. West Bloomfield develops wide receivers as well as anyone in the country, and will have him more prepared than most when he arrives in East Lansing.

Michigan State football is now up to fifteen commitments for the 2019 class, a number that is going to grow very quickly with some more huge additions to the class expected shortly. Mosley is the third wide receiver to commit in the class, joining Jase Bowen and Alante Brown. The Spartans are looking to take up to four receivers in the class.
