1. Urban Meyer knows how to win the big game

Do big games scare Urban Meyer? Absolutely not. Just check the resume. He won the first-ever College Football Playoff, he’s won multiple titles with the Florida Gators and he’s coming off a Cotton Bowl victory — oh, and he’s never lost to Michigan in ‘The Game’.

With an even more talented team in 2018, the big games should be no problem for the Buckeyes. They face TCU in the third week of the season followed by Penn State two weeks later. In the final month of the season, Nebraska, Michigan State and Michigan all await the Buckeyes and they will stand between Ohio State and another trip to the Big Ten title game — and potentially an undefeated season.

Meyer has the experience to win those big games late in the year and he’s proven he can lead his team to victories even in tough road contests late in the season.

Ohio State won’t be phased by these big games because of their head coach and there’s a reason why the Buckeyes are 73-8 in his six years in Columbus — he’s 177-31 in his career.
