Tailgating is one of the best traditions in college football. Which schools top the list of the best tailing experiences?

Tailgating is not unique to college football. It accompanies most other sports around the world. But when it comes to college football fans, they do it best.

Tailgating provides a sense of camaraderie among a fanbase. Getting together for food, drink, music and games hours before kickoff is a huge part of the gameday experience. In fact, there are plenty of fans that look forward to tailgating more than the game itself. Some will travel to the site of a game just to tailgate, bringing in large televisions to watch the game instead of paying for tickets.

You do not have to be a fan of a big school to enjoy a tailgate. While there are a lot of big time, brand name programs on the list, there are some mid-tier schools as well.

The following list is based on known traditions and national reputation. Everyone will have a different opinion, so feel free to leave comments. With that in mind, let us take a look at the best of the best of college football tailgating.
