Texas A&M football has a tough schedule, but the Aggies could bounce back in Jimbo Fisher’s first season. Here’s how the opponents rank, by difficulty.

Jimbo Fisher is here to save the day, Texas A&M fans. The former Florida State head coach left the Seminoles for an opportunity to coach in the SEC with world-class facilities at his disposal.

With him, he brought excellent recruiting tactics, a national title-winning attitude and a sparkling resume. All he needs to do in College Station is live up to the unbelievably high expectations — easy, right? Not so fast.

It’s not going to be easy living up to all that hype, but Fisher has what it takes to win the national title and has done so before and can do it again. The 2018 schedule won’t be very forgiving, though.

Here’s how the Aggies’ 2018 opponents by difficulty.

This one honestly goes without saying, but here we are. No disrespect to Northwestern State, but there’s no way a team that finished sixth in the Southland Conference of the FCS has a chance to compete with an up-and-coming SEC foe like the Aggies.

The Demons finished 4-7 under fifth-year head coach Jay Thomas and the program decided to move on, letting the head coach go and hiring Brad Laird.

Texas A&M should have no problem dismantling the Demons at home and this one could be a nice confidence boost heading into a tough first month of action against teams like Clemson and Alabama.

No doubt, this is the easiest opponent on the schedule for 2018.
