Last Chance U’s Season 3 star Rakeem Boyd broke out in Indy C.C.’s offense and proved that he has NFL potential, now with Arkansas.

With two running backs on the roster from Power Five programs, Indy C.C. seemed loaded and poised to produce some top-tier talent with highlight plays left and right.

Rakeem Boyd, a Texas A&M transfer, started the season slowly behind Jamal Scott — who currently holds no Division 1 offers — while Michigan transfer Kingston Davis, a former high school fullback, was benched early in the season due to fumble issues — he was eventually cut from the team before the final couple of games.

Scott was getting most of the work to start the year and then Boyd finally came into his own, realizing his potential and seizing the opportunity presented to him.

The talented back rushed for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns in just 10 games, averaging over 120 per contest which is impressive given that sluggish start to the year.

Now he’s headed back to the SEC, setting himself up for success with Arkansas.

Although Arkansas has a starter in place (Devwah Whaley), the Razorbacks could use some depth at the position and the 6-foot-0, 200-pound back will be the nice change of pace. He’s shifty with breakaway speed and will complement Whaley well and potentially even earn a bulk of the carries.

There’s no doubt, especially to those who watched Last Chance U’s newest season, that Boyd has NFL talent and his offensive coordinators and head coach all gushed about him to recruiters throughout the year.

This kid needs to see the field for the Razorbacks in 2018 and he still has three years of eligibility left, so it looks like Whaley’s replacement is a Netflix docuseries star.
