Former EMCC standouts currently in the NFL

The first name that comes to mind as it pertains to the former EMCC standouts making their way to the NFL is a player that played all over the place position wise and college wise in his career. Lane Kiffin and the Florida Atlantic Owls enjoyed having the raw athleticism and speed of John Franklin II at wide receiver last year.

Franklin II transferred to Florida Atlantic from the Auburn Tigers, and he originally signed with the Florida State Seminoles. That shows that Franklin II is no stranger to fighting his way to the top. He also showed his willingness to succeed this year by moving to defensive back when he signed a rookie contract with the Chicago Bears following the 2018 NFL Draft.

There’s two other EMCC alumni that are fighting their way to relevance in the NFL at this moment. One of those two players was actually featured playing for Last Chance U, defensive back C.J. Reavis. After getting dismissed from the Virginia Tech Hokies’ football program, Reavis signed a rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars also following the 2018 NFL Draft.

The last name to mention that was a big part of EMCC during the two parts of Last Chance U is a former Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly. Currently rostered with the Denver Broncos behind projected starter Case Keenum, there is still ample opportunity for Kelly to make some headway to win the starting gig at some point in 2018 or 2019.
