Texas A&M football doesn’t have the easiest of schedules approaching in 2018, but which five games stand out as the toughest for the Aggies?

There’s no doubt about it, Texas A&M has one of the toughest schedules in college football and potentially the most difficult month of September of any team.

Not many schools are playing two of last year’s four College Football Playoff teams in the opening month, but Jimbo Fisher will get a chance to show just how far his new program has come. The Aggies will get to prove themselves early on, or it could be a long season.

Texas A&M football will have its hands full in 2018.

Although expectations aren’t sky-high like usual for LSU, the Tigers will still be a formidable foe with plenty of talent on the roster. They bring in a solid recruiting class and Myles Brennan should be a solid replacement for Danny Etling under center.

Facing the Tigers at home will help as Death Valley isn’t the easiest place to play — LSU beat Texas A&M 45-21 a year ago at home.

The Tigers have also lost Derrius Guice who has since moved on to the NFL ranks, leaving Nick Brossette and Clyde Edwards-Helaire to handle the rushing duties. The offense could still see a bit of a resurgence with improved quarterback play and three returning starters on the offensive line, but it’s the defense that leads the way for LSU.

If Texas A&M is going to take down the Tigers in the season finale, the Aggies will have to get more production out of their offense. The Tigers’ defense will be reloading.
