5. Texas will not be starting any freshman on offense or defense

Experience matters in college football and Texas has no freshman starting on offense or defense this season.

Oklahoma will likely have at least two freshmen starting based on what depth chart is being referenced. According to ourlads.com, strong safety Brendan Radley-Hiles and Ronnie Perkins are two guys that will be starting right away.

Texas will have two freshman starters at kicker and punter, but most of their talented freshman will likely play special teams or be in the rotation throughout the season. Caden Sterns was a highly touted safety and ranked near the top of his class, and he is one of a few freshmen for Texas that could see playing time in 2018.

Oklahoma may be a more talented team on paper, but Texas is a more experienced team, which makes up for less talent overall. That experience will be crucial in what will likely be a close game between Texas and Oklahoma in October.
