3. Dwayne Haskins’ history against Michigan

Dwayne Haskins, a four-star recruit and redshirt sophomore, will be the starting quarterback for Ohio State this season. One of his few game experiences prior to this season actually came against Michigan last season.

In that game, Haskins came off the bench for an injured J.T. Barrett and completed six of seven passes and threw for 94 yards. He also rushed for 24 yards on three attempts.

Though those stats are average, his performance was very impressive since he came into the game and led them to a comeback 31-20 victory after entering the game with the score at 14-20 in Michigan’s favor.

In that game, Haskins took on the pressure that Ohio State needed to win that game in order to have a chance at the College Football Playoff. They had two losses at the time, which ultimately caused them to finish fifth and miss the College Football Playoff, but they needed him to perform so they had a chance to make it.

He did exactly that in what is the biggest game on Ohio State’s schedule each year. Haskins has valuable experience playing well against Michigan, and he should be able to carry that momentum into 2018.
