Here we are in the season finale and Texas gets to play the weakest team in the conference by a relatively wide margin. Going winless in conference play a season ago, the same could happen yet again for the Jayhawks.

David Beaty has had a rough go of things in Lawrence, winning just three games in his three seasons and looking like nothing more than a placeholder.

Kansas will be a poor team once again and Texas will roll here.

Last season’s contest was slightly more competitive than Tom Herman would have liked as Texas let Kansas score 27 points in a 15-point victory, but the Jayhawks will be close to a shutout this time around, but a garbage time touchdown and early field goal will deny that.

Sam Ehlinger will pass for 200 yards but will gave way to Shane Buechele in the second half. The Texas run game, too, will have a big day, combining for nearly 300 yards and this one will be as ugly as you could imagine.

Final Score: Texas 41, Kansas 10 (9-3, 6-3 Big 12)
