Some might look at this as a cakewalk for Texas, but the reality is this: Baylor will be much better in 2018. The Bears finished just 1-11 last season with their lone win coming against hapless Kansas, but don’t expect that to continue this season with plenty of talent returning, including starting quarterback Charlie Brewer and receiver Denzel Mims.

Baylor’s defense won’t be able to stop this Texas offense, though, as this could be one of those shootouts that the Big 12 is known for.

The Bears will strike first and take an early 10-0 lead, but the game will turn quickly in Texas’ favor as they’ll regain momentum on the arm of Sam Ehlinger. He’ll throw three first-half touchdown passes and Collin Johnson will have his best game of the year.

The second half will be a nice back-and-forth contest but ultimately, Texas’ defense will get more crucial stops, holding Baylor in check and snapping a two-game skid.

Baylor will finish with more than one win this year, though. Book it.

Final Score: Baylor 31, Texas 41 (5-2, 2-2 Big 12)
