Clemson football is a perennial College Football Playoff team. Can the Tigers get back, and possibly win it all, in 2018?

Tiger fans could be in store for another successful year under Coach Swinney and co. That doesn’t mean that high expectations can’t be in the minds of every fan looking to support their team.

Take a look at some of the bold predictions in store for Clemson in the 2018 season.

1. Trevor Lawrence is the full-time starter by Week 5

Trevor Lawrence comes into his freshman season with a lot of high expectations of being the future of Tigers football. He is a dynamic talent that can get the ball down the field to an open receiver with ease, while also using his scrambling ability to do damage on the ground.

Why do I expect him to be made the full-time started by before? A lot of it has to do with Kelly Bryant.

The Tigers offense couldn’t really be a major threat passing the ball downfield field last season and it really hurt them in the semifinal matchup against Alabama.

Bryant will need to come out averaging at least 225 yards per game during the month of September with a good touchdown to interception ratio to keep his coaches from pulling the trigger and going with Lawrence.

I believe once Lawrence gets the keys to the offense the Tigers can easily score 30+ points a game and stay in contention for the national championship.
