Week 1 of the college football season is here and fans all over the world are losing their minds about it. Here are the top reasons to watch Week 1.

The 2018 college football season is here. The week 0 games are already behind us with Wyoming proving they won’t miss a beat after the departure of Josh Allen and K.J. Carta-Samuels absolutely showing out against Hawaii for the Colorado State Rams.

Week 0 was a fun slate of five games to get college football fans warmed up but the true question is why should we be excited for week 1?

With pumpkin-based products already hitting the market fall is here. In North Carolina, we’ve already started high school football season and the temperatures are beginning to dip in the mornings. Fall has always been my favorite time of year as we see the leaves change and feel the cool breeze on the practice field.

Much like every fall over the past decade, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the favorite to win the national championship. Nick Saban’s football powerhouse has been the front runner for the better part of a decade and the 2018 season is no different than the rest.

Nipping Coach Saban’s heels are a few programs that are battling for a spot in the College Football Playoff and they’re playing in Week 1.
