5. The rushing game will be elite

There could be more than one player with over 500 yards rushing. This prediction isn’t as bold as it might seem at first. The ‘Noles have two quarterbacks that are as fast with their feet as they are with their arms. Taggart is known for his tempo offenses, and new offensive coordinator Walt Bell is a genius at developing quarterbacks.

Sophomore Cam Akers had over 1,000 yards rushing last year, and that was one of the Seminoles’ worst seasons in decades. So, yes, Cam Akers is a given to nail over 500 yards rushing, but he isn’t the only player on the Seminole offense that leaves opponents breathing dust.

Senior Jacques Patrick had over 700 yards last season, also. If these two can make these kinds of numbers on what I will kindly describe as an “off” season, imagine what kind of stats they can pull off in 2018.

The ‘Noles are loaded with talented backs, but we should see Ferrari in human guise Khalan Laborn rack up some impressive numbers in a breakout season. After his performance in the spring game, Laborn looks to be like another Devonta Freeman waiting in the wings.
