Ole Miss football continues to fight through their NCAA woes by fighting tooth and nail every Saturday for wins in the ever-tough SEC West.

Ole Miss made the somewhat obvious decision to promote Matt Luke to head coach after a 6-6 run as the interim coach in the Grove last season. Luke was quickly thrust into action on the heels of the Hugh Freeze scandal and did a remarkable job guiding his team through a very uncertain time.

He capped off that stressful season with a stunning upset of rival Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. The Bulldogs’ starting quarterback Nick Fitzgerald left that game early with a gruesome injury, but the final box score will be all that fans remember moving forward.

And moving forward they are. Ole Miss will serve the final year of a two-year bowl ban in 2018, then the program can move outward from underneath the cloud of the NCAA investigations. With so much noise surrounding the program, how will the Rebels fare in this season?
