With the offseason officially behind us, here are 5 bold predictions for Notre Dame football as the program sets its sights on the month of September.

Spring through summer, while enjoyable seasons, lack one of the greatest things this Earth has to offer. Football! However, fall is right around the corner. After plenty of offseason talk, it’s finally time to get into the schedule for the month of September.

Head coach Brian Kelly, now in his ninth year with the Irish, may once again be tested on his ability to overcome late-season hurdles. However, Notre Dame’s path to playoff relevancy starts now. With any season comes an assortment of expectations, and that’s the case for this Irish team as well. There will inevitably be some who exceed those expectations and others who fail to meet them.

Regardless, the Irish will be giving it their all in their Week 1 matchup vs. Michigan and beyond. Without further ado, here are five bold predictions for Notre Dame as they roll into the month of September.
