Miles Sanders

Now that Saquon Barkley is out of Happy Valley and in the NFL, running back Miles Sanders looks to fill the void at the running back position. Many believe that the Nittany Lions will struggle with the departure of Barkley and that they could take a step back in 2018. But the Nittany Lions have the right guy to replace Barkley.

Sanders, who was the number one running back in his class, has excelled whenever he has gotten his hands on the ball. Although he only has four total scores in his two seasons at Penn State, he averages 6.7 yards on every touch. Sanders may not have the quick cut ability that Barkley did, but he is a dual-threat running back that could easily run for over 1,000 yards and tally up over 500 receiving yards.

And in addition to catching the ball in the passing game, Sanders resembles much of his predecessor in blocking for the quarterback. Being able to give your signal caller an extra blocker is always a great quality to have.

Miles Sanders has seen minimal touches in his career but, he is done waiting and ready to put his name among the greats that have played at Penn State. Sanders is a question mark by most but by season’s end, he’ll have the doubters in exclamation on numerous touchdown calls.
