Feleipe Franks got a first-hand seat on the Titanic that was the end of the Jim McElwain era at Florida. The redshirt freshman quarterback was trusted to lead the offense after the Malik Zaire experiment failed. His nine touchdowns and eight interceptions were relatively uninspiring, but 2018 should be a completely different story.

In comes Dan Mullen, noted quarterback whisper. Mullen produced great passers at Mississippi State, a school with a fraction of the talent that already exists on the Florida roster. Franks will benefit greatly from Mullen’s arrival. He already has the raw talent to succeed, now he has the coaching that can position him for that success.
