Ole Miss wide receiver AJ Brown has a target on his back. He was the favorite target of former quarterback Shea Patterson and current starter Jordan Ta’amu. Defenses will always know where Brown lines up, but it will be their inattention to another Rebels wideout that will burn them the most in 2018.

DK Metcalf is another Ole Miss receiver with NFL aspirations. He was slightly more productive than Brown last season on a much lesser volume of receptions. He caught 39 passes for 646 yards and seven scores. Brown nearly doubled him, catching 75 passes for 1252 yards and 11 touchdowns.

This offense is going to toss the ball around the yard. Running back Jordan Wilkins departed for the NFL and the Ole Miss defense is going to be bad. That’s a recipe for a ton of air yards, and it’s not going to be just Brown who benefits with a big workload. Metcalf is going to be just as productive on the other side, if not moreso.
