Kenny Hill‘s long run at the collegiate level finally came to an end following the 2017 season and it’s actually going to be weird seeing a different quarterback don the purple and white.

Shawn Robinson was a highly-touted recruit at the high school level, but has waited his turn behind Hill and is now getting a shot to prove himself. He had just 184 yards and three touchdowns last season on 27 pass attempts, but with the keys to the offense in his hands, we can expect to see a breakout in 2018.

There’s no shortage of weapons surrounding him whether it’s Darius Anderson in the run game, KaVontae Turpin in the run/receiving game and Jaelan Austin and Jalen Reagor in the receiving game. This offense has what it takes to be explosive, and it all starts with Robinson.

This kid is getting his chance to shine and he won’t let the opportunity slip through his fingers. The Horned Frogs may feel slightly uneasy about the lack of experience under center, but Robinson has the tools necessary to make TCU a Big 12 contender.
