West Virginia’s offense is scary as it is. Add in a strong run game and the Mountaineers will be sending every opponent running for the hills in terror.

Justin Crawford was a strong 1,000-yard rusher a season ago, adding seven touchdowns to his line, along with 5.6 yards per carry, but people seem to forget West Virginia is returning Kennedy McKoy for his junior year.

In his first two seasons combined, McKoy played the role of backup and still managed to account for 1,068 yards and 11 touchdowns on 5.4 yards per carry. Just imagine what he could do with starter carries — we will soon find out.

Behind arguably one of the most powerful offensive lines in the nation, McKoy seems poised to reach that 1,000-yard mark in his first full year as a starter and surpass Crawford’s numbers from a season ago.

It wouldn’t be all that shocking to see McKoy average 6.0-plus yards per carry with 10-plus touchdowns and 1,200-plus yards.
