Georgia Football: Bulldogs flex might in season opener

3. With Demetris Robertson, the rich get richer
If it wasn’t already obvious, Georgia has some of the top young talent in all of college football. They are loaded at quarterback, deep and strong at running back, and always ready for the next-man-in on defense.
But in the offseason, the receiving group gained a key addition with the transfer of Demetris Robertson.
And while he was held without a catch, Robertson made an impact on the field by taking a handoff and darting 72 yards for a touchdown.
Earlier this offseason, Georgia was unsure what they would get out of Robertson. But as was evident by his touch of the ball on Saturday, they’ll make sure to work him in more and more as the season progresses.
Robertson, the No. 1 recruit in 2016, had 50 receptions for 767 yards and seven scores as a true freshman for California. He was injured after two games last year in which he had seven catches for 70 yards, electing to leave Berkley for Athens.
