Ohio State football entered Week 1 looking to make a statement to the Big Ten and national media and it did just that versus Oregon State.

A convincing Buckeyes win by a score of 77-31 saw the offensive line dominate early, Dwayne Haskins make plays with his arm and saw the defense smother the Beavers offense before the lightning delay.

Ohio State (1-0) heads into their Week 2 Big Ten matchup against Rutgers with a lot to look forward to this season. Dwayne Haskins made a big statement with three touchdown passes in the first half. However, it was nice to see the second unit get reps before the end of the first half.

This experience should be eye-opening for the entire team as the season heads into the October and November part of the schedule. Rutgers has been considered a trainwreck since Greg Schiano left, but the Buckeyes won’t overlook them after the offensive output the Beavers put up.

The Beavers (0-1) will have to go back to the drawing board in Week 2, after being dominated for most of the game against Ohio State. The Beavers offense made big plays on the ground and potentially. They will look to regroup as they face Southern Utah.
