Clemson football defeated in-state foe Furman handily by a final score of 48-7. Which Tigers’ player earned Blitz Stickers in Week 1?

The Tigers jumped out to an easy win and perhaps one of the most prevalent storylines that surfaced was a potential controversy at quarterback.

The defense, as advertised, remained the strongest unit of the Tigers and the offense certainly did its part to put away Furman early.

Here are five Clemson players that earned Blitz Stickers in Week 1 of the season.

Kelly Bryant produced both in the air and on the ground. The senior passed for 127 yards and a 40-yard touchdown toss and rushed for 44-yards and a 35-yard touchdown run.

Clemson has been in the College Football Playoff conversation since its beginnings and this year should be no different. Bryant has experience in the playoff and will help lead the Tigers to potentially another one this season.

The game against a much weaker opponent in Furman won’t tell much but Bryant is a solid option at quarterback. He should hold his footing on a starting job — barring a really bad performance or injury.
