After opening the 2018 season with a win over No. 14 Michigan, which Notre Dame football players earned Blitz Stickers (our version of game balls)?

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish opened the 2018 football season with a win in front of a rowdy College GameDay crowd in South Bend, Ind.. They defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 24-17. Both teams came into the game ranked, No.’s 12 and 14, respectively.

The game wasn’t necessarily close throughout, but Michigan’s defense and special teams kept them afloat when their offense all but sank them. The Irish defense stifled the Wolverines attack on offense and kept them out of the end zone until late in the fourth quarter, ultimately surrendering a single touchdown and field goal on the day.

The Irish were forced to replace plenty of players from last year’s team, but that just encouraged competition and new names to learn.

Although previously unknown (or little-discussed), there were plenty of standouts for Notre Dame, too, which is who we’ll be highlighting here with our Blitz Stickers. Did your favorite player do enough to earn one?
